Where we are from

Our winery is located right at the entrance of the village of Köhler, close to Volkach. Just a single row of houses separates the vineyards from the Altmain River. Köhler is the smallest wine village in the Mainschleife region of Lower Franconia and was first documented in 1253.

what we do

As winegrowers, we spend nearly every day in our vineyards, enjoying in the stunning panoramic views of the Mainschleife. This connection to nature is what makes our workplace so unique. Our vines grow on limestone, providing the perfect conditions to produce balanced wines with a distinctive mineral character.

Our philosophy is simple: to produce wines that are authentic, true to their variety, and reflective of their terroir, always with a commitment to sustainable cultivation.

Sustainably Farmed, Gently Handcrafted

We look after our land and soil, using sustainable farming principles across our vineyards. Sustainable, organic methods guide every step of our farming process, while in the winery, we let the fruit express itself.”

Ninety percent of winemaking hapens in the vineyard, in the winery we let the fruit express itself that the unique character of our vineyards is captured in every glass.

who we are

Our passion and attention to detail help us craft wines with unique character. For decades, three generations have worked side by side to create typical Franconian wines.

WHAT's important for us

We deeply care about the future of nature. That’s why we plant our vineyards with a variety of herbs and wildflowers, naturally supporting them with beneficial insects and bees. By implementing effective erosion control, we contribute to the preservation of the stunning landscapes along the Franconian Mainschleife. Soil conservation is a priority in our vineyards. We work according to the maxim “as much as necessary, as little as possible”.
